DECA competition sponsored by American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Develop a student-membership engagement strategy.
Two to three members of one DECA chapter; chapters may submit multiple entries. High-school/college students are the marketing audience, not an additional published enrollment restriction on entrants. Required submission: Propose an AICPA student-membership marketing and engagement strategy informed by research on a Gen Z student audience. Explain membership benefits, outreach activities, communication channels and success measures. Submit a three-to-five-minute video and a separate one-page financial plan using the organizer-provided budget template in the rulebook. Show activity/channel costs, funding sources and cost effectiveness/ROI. Videos exceeding five minutes and late entries are ineligible. Finalist participation: Top-three ICDC participation in Anaheim, California, April 17–20, 2027, depends on chartered association rules and school/chapter advisor approval. Entry does not guarantee conference attendance. No additional grade, age or citizenship requirement is established in these challenge rules; DECA membership and current organizer instructions still apply.

Team prizes: first US$1,500; second US$1,000; third US$500. Entry fees, membership dues, software access costs and finalist conference/travel charges are not established; confirm these separately with the chapter and organizer. These awards are not salary or a paid placement.
