Write and produce a business-positioning episode with a PDF script, MP4 video and promotional photo.
Registered high-school DECA members, in teams of two to four; each chapter may submit at most two entries. The video needs at least two hosts. Every member contributes to writing/production, but not everyone must appear on camera. Required project: Use the 2026 positioning theme and performance indicator MKC 10.09.05. Explain a researched current event/case study and an original role-play prompt. Supply a PDF script with MLA citations; an MP4 video no longer than 3 minutes 30 seconds; and one landscape 16:9 PNG/JPEG talent photo. The rubric requires school name, chapter number and participant credits. Fact-check sources, respect copyright, and make all submitted links accessible to judges. Missing/inaccessible script or video and late/overlength entries are disqualified. Advisor and publication requirements: Students create the project; advisors may consult and must review the requirements. The submission form is uploaded by the advisor on students’ behalf and requires current-membership and project-compliance attestations. No edits are allowed after the cutoff. Selected teams make organizer-requested revisions/re-filming, and winners need parent/caregiver/legal-guardian permission before publication. Creativity and use of existing episodes for inspiration are optional; prescribed recording/editing software is not required. Timing caveat: The PDF says 6 p.m. ET on October 30, 2026, while the linked form uses EST in its heading and EDT in an advisor attestation. The date and clock are retained, but an exact timezone reminder is excluded until clarified. Finalist participation: ICDC recognition in Anaheim, California, April 17–20, 2027 is conditional on chartered-association rules and school/chapter advisor approval; entry does not guarantee attendance.

Travel awards: each of the top three teams receives US$2,000 in travel scholarship money. Membership dues, entry fees and conference/travel costs are not established; these awards are not salary or a paid placement.
Prepare the complete student-created episode, script, thumbnail and judge-accessible links; the advisor reviews and uploads the entry. Selected teams may need revisions and guardian publication permission.
